How to measure the body fit in wear for the Hypershell series product?Updated 4 minutes ago

Finding the right size is key to getting the best comfort and performance from your Hypershell exoskeleton. This FAQ shows you how to take your measurements, compare them with our size chart, and use BMI as an extra check if needed. Follow the steps below to see if Hypershell is a good fit for you before you order.

How do I check if Hypershell is suitable for my body size?

You can do a quick self-check in three steps:
Step 1 – Take Your Body Measurements
Please prepare a measuring tape and record the following.
- Height: Stand straight without shoes, measure from head to floor.
- Weight: Record your body weight in kilograms or pounds.
- Waist Circumference: Measure around your waist at the navel, across the tops of your pelvic bones.
- Hips Width: Measure a straight line across the widest part of your hips, keeping the tape horizontal.
- Thigh Length: Measure vertically from your hip joint down to your outer knee bone.

Step 2 – Compare with the Size Table (Bottom of this article )
- If all your body measurements fit inside our size chart, Hypershell will be suitable for you.
- If some values are outside the range, go to Step 3.

Step 3 – Calculate Your BMI
Use the formula below, or you may also use any online BMI calculator available by searching on the internet:

BMI = Weight (kg) / Height (m)^2

- If your BMI is 16–34, Hypershell is generally suitable, though you may feel small differences in comfort (for example, a tighter waist or longer leg lever).
- If your BMI is below 16 or above 34, the current Hypershell model is not suitable, and we do not recommend purchase.

Example:
- Height: 1.75 m (175 cm)
- Weight: 70 kg
- Waist Circumference: 82 cm
- Hips Width: 100 cm
- Thigh Length: 50 cm

Step 2 Check → All body measurements fall inside the size chart.
Step 3 BMI check → BMI = 70 ÷ (1.75^2) = 22.9, which is within the 16–34 range.

Result: This customer is suitable for Hypershell and can proceed with the purchase confidently.

How does the BMI scope affect choosing the Hypershell exoskeleton size?

BMI is only used when some of your body measurements do not fit within the size chart. It helps us evaluate whether Hypershell can still be a safe and comfortable choice for you.

- BMI between 16–34:
This range means your body type generally matches the intended design of Hypershell. Even if a few of your measurements fall outside the chart, the product should still be wearable. However, you may notice small differences in comfort. For example, the waist may feel snugger than designed, or the leg lever may not perfectly match the shape of your legs.

- BMI below 16:
This suggests a very slim body type. In such cases, Hypershell may not secure properly, as straps could loosen or joints may not align, reducing stability.

- BMI above 34:
This suggests a heavier body type. In this case, Hypershell may feel too tight at the waist or hips, or the load distribution may not function as intended, which can reduce both comfort and performance.

In summary:
- BMI is a backup check when measurements alone don’t give a clear answer.
- It tells us if Hypershell is “generally suitable” or “not recommended” when the body shape falls outside the standard chart.

What if my body measurements are at the limit of the size chart?

If your values are close to the upper or lower limits of the chart, Hypershell may still fit, but the wearing experience could feel tighter or looser in certain areas. This is considered a borderline fit. Please decide based on whether you are comfortable with a snug or relaxed feel.

What if I only have part of the measurements?

We recommend providing all five measurements for the most accurate result. Missing values can make the recommendation less reliable. If possible, complete the set before comparing with the chart.

What if the current Hypershell does not fit me?

If your body measurements or BMI show that the current Hypershell model is not suitable, we recommend not purchasing this version for safety and comfort reasons.

Our team is working on future models with expanded size options. You can subscribe to our updates to be notified once new sizes become available.
